Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll deliver letters and parcels across your area, sometimes on foot and sometimes by van, in all weathers.

Ideal candidates have a full, manual UK driving licence, stamina to walk up to 20,000 steps daily, and the ability to adapt to varying shifts at short notice. A driving assessment is required on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk long distances and carry a 16 kg mailbag.
• Able to adapt to changing shifts with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels on your route, indoors and outdoors.
• Drive the Royal Mail van for parts of your delivery round.
• Ensure items reach customers safely, handling election materials per policy.
