Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a flexible Post Person with Driving to deliver letters and parcels across your local area. You’ll drive a Royal Mail van and also walk parts of your route to ensure on-time delivery.

Applicants must have a full, manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points, be prepared to walk up to 20,000 steps daily and handle mailbags up to 16 kg. Shifts vary; adaptability is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as the face of Royal Mail in your community.
• Drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot and ensuring safe and timely delivery.
• Handle and deliver election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
