Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers across the UK. As a Post Person with Driving, you will deliver letters and parcels along your local round, driving a Royal Mail van and delivering parts of the route on foot.

You’ll need a full, manual UK licence (max 6 points), fitness to walk up to 20,000 steps daily, and the ability to adapt shifts at short notice. Pay rates vary by shift and can change during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary and require adaptability at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along your delivery route, driving a Royal Mail van and walking where needed.
• Securely deliver all items, including election materials, in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Pass a driving assessment at start and work flexibly as part of the team.
