Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. As a Post Person with Driving you’ll deliver letters and parcels across your local area, spending part of your day on foot and part in a Royal Mail van.

You'll need a full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points, and be prepared to walk up to 20,000 steps daily while carrying a bag up to 16 kg. Shifts vary and a driving assessment is required on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; ability to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your local delivery area.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and complete parts of your route on foot when required.
• Securely deliver all items and handle election materials in line with standards.
• Pass a driving assessment at start.
