Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking flexible Post Person with Driving to join the delivery team. You’ll be the face of the service, delivering letters and parcels in your community, driving a Royal Mail van on your route and walking parts of it as needed.

Requirements include a full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points, good physical fitness to walk about 20,000 steps a day, and the ability to work flexibly with short notice.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as part of your round.
• Drive a Royal Mail delivery van on your route and complete parts on foot when required.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including handling election materials and certain items in line with business standards.
