Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as flexible postal delivery drivers. As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine, with routes that mix driving and walking.

You’ll need a full UK driving licence, fitness for walking 20,000 steps daily, and the ability to work shifts at short notice. Competitive hourly rates apply with various shift patterns in the UK.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points – you’ll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your community, on foot and by van.
• Ensure secure delivery and safe handling of items.
• Provide exceptional service while upholding Royal Mail standards.
