Job summary

HIVED is seeking a Fleet Shift Manager to oversee Fleet Coordinators, ensuring safety, availability, compliance and cost control of the vehicle fleet. The role includes early damage detection, rapid cost recovery and close collaboration with Maintenance and Operations to protect uptime.

You will also coordinate daily vehicle collection/return for Delivery Drivers and lead a small team. Location is primarily at vehicle storage sites with occasional depot travel and occasional cross-site support.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience in operational roles or vehicle-related roles.
• Experience with vehicles uptime, inspections, maintenance and servicing.
• Experience managing teams and achieving results.
• Valid driving licence (held for at least 12 months, max 6 points).
• High integrity, urgency, ownership and proactive mindset.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Team management: ensure high process adherence on-site, manage Coordinators & Night Chargers, cover absences.
• Execution support: daily on-site support, vehicle inspections 2 mornings/week, cover for sickness/holidays.
• Vehicle-related: ensure vehicles are inspected, logged and compliant; coordinate repairs with Fleet Maintenance to minimise downtime; manage keys and safety compliance.
• Driver-related: morning vehicle handover and route allocation; evening returns and undelivered parcels handling.
