Job summary

Global Highland is seeking a Depot Supervisor - Backshift to lead the afternoon and evening transport operation. You will oversee the depot, fleet and operational readiness for the next day and provide administrative support, including performance data analysis.

The role requires supervising teams, coordinating drivers and vehicles, and ensuring safety, compliance and effective communication across shifts in the Highlands region.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is essential.
• Driver CPC qualification/card required.
• ADR qualification required.
• Experience in transport, logistics or fleet operations.
• Supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-of-shift debriefs with returning drivers.
• Identify and record vehicle defects before vehicles are parked.
• Review failed, delayed or disrupted deliveries and take action.
• Ensure all operational paperwork and compliance checks are completed.
• Provide driver performance reports using systems such as Webfleet and Vision.
• Shunt vehicles to and from local sites when required.
• Provide holiday cover for Day Supervisor and Depot Manager as needed.
