Job summary

Day Group is seeking a Logistics Coordinator at the Tolworth depot to oversee day-to-day transport and logistics operations. You will communicate with customers, drivers, hauliers and depot staff, coordinate orders, schedule vehicles and support efficient material movement across the network.

The role requires strong organisation, clear communication, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure to maximise fleet utilisation and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics or transport operations.
• Knowledge of drivers\' hours regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Receive and coordinate customer orders and inquiries.
• Plan and schedule incoming materials, deliveries and internal transfers.
• Allocate work to vehicles and drivers for efficient fleet utilisation.
• Manage contract hauliers when capacity is required.
• Maintain accurate transport documentation and records.
