Overview

A lovely opportunity for a Norland Nanny with baby experience near Stroud to care for an almost 5‑month‑old baby over Christmas. The family will stay at their home from 21st to 29th December. The role includes both sole charge and shared care with parents and grandparents. The Grandmother would like someone to start a day before the family’s arrival to set up the nursery.

Job Details

• Fixed term position; 21st–29th December (excluding 25th, 26th, 30th, 31st)
• Location: Bisley, Stroud
• Flexible hours: full or half days
• Pay: £25 gross per hour
• Pet: 1 Golden Retriever – must be comfortable around dogs
• Driving essential; own car preferred but Grandmother’s car may be used

Qualifications & Experience

• Norland Nanny certification (or equivalent)
• Paediatric First Aid (minimum 12‑hour certificate)
• Enhanced eDBS required (registered on the update service)
• Minimum 4 years in childcare
• 2 professional referees, one current or previous employer, both immediately contactable
• Comfortable with dogs and large family environment (grandchildren may join later)

Responsibilities

• Care for the baby on full or half days, using initiative and sense of humour.
• Set up the nursery daily if starting before the family arrives.
• Work sole charge as well as shared care alongside parents and grandparents.
