A healthcare organization in Nottingham is seeking a Fire Safety Adviser to manage and support fire safety across various Trust sites. The role involves advising the management on fire safety legislation, conducting fire risk assessments, and delivering training programs. Candidates should have relevant fire safety qualifications and substantial healthcare experience. Offering a collaborative and professional work environment, the position provides an annual salary range of £38,682 to £46,580, pro-rata for part-time roles.
Fire Safety Adviser – Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The closing date is 11 February 2026. This role supports the Trust with the effective management of Fire Safety and reports to the Trust Senior Fire Safety Adviser within the Health and Safety Team. The post is based in Nottingham (flexible) with work across Trust sites to support statutory fire safety responsibilities.
The Fire Safety Team provides specialist advice to staff, senior managers and Trust Directors. Experience of fire risk assessments in complex settings and relevant fire safety qualifications is essential. You will be required to produce and deliver training, supported by a relevant training qualification. You will provide specialist support on all aspects of fire safety and assist with implementing the Trusts Fire Safety Policy. Knowledge of Building Control Guidance documents and current fire safety legislation is essential, with significant experience of NHS standards and legislative requirements.

Applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band per Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary; DBS application costs are £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), deducted over the first 2 months of employment.
