Stantec, a leading design firm, is seeking an Associate Fire Engineer to lead fire engineering strategies on complex projects. You will guide design teams, manage modelling inputs, and ensure outputs meet regulatory requirements across a multidisciplinary Building practice.

Based in the UK, you’ll own client relationships, run project meetings, support business development, and mentor engineers while shaping standards and contributing to the growth of the fire engineering capability.

Qualificações

• Strong experience delivering fire engineering strategies for complex buildings.
• Experience with modelling tools such as FDS, PyroSim, Pathfinder or similar.
• Confident communicator, able to present technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Experience working within a consultancy environment on multidisciplinary projects.
• Able to lead projects, manage client relationships, and provide technical direction.
• Experience mentoring engineers and supporting team development.
• Interested in contributing to business growth and work-winning activity.
• Degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working toward chartership with IFE or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the delivery of fire engineering strategies across a diverse portfolio of projects, from concept through to construction and handover.
• Act as a technical authority on projects—guiding design teams, overseeing modelling inputs, and ensuring quality across outputs.
• Lead meetings with clients, advise on strategy, and support successful project outcomes.
• Contribute to business development, supporting bids and identifying opportunities to expand the service offering.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to technical standards, and support a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
