Job summary

Stantec in the United Kingdom seeks an Associate Fire Engineer to lead fire engineering strategies across diverse projects, from concept through handover. You will guide design teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to business growth within a multidisciplinary environment.

You will mentor engineers, develop technical standards, and help expand the fire engineering service while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and practical delivery across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering fire engineering strategies for complex buildings.
• Experience with modelling tools such as FDS, PyroSim, Pathfinder.
• Able to present technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Experience in consultancy environments on multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience mentoring engineers and supporting team development.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working toward chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire engineering strategies from concept to handover.
• Act as technical authority, guiding design teams and ensuring output quality.
• Manage client relationships and lead meetings with stakeholders.
• Support bids and identify opportunities to expand the service offering.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practice.
