Stantec is seeking an Associate Fire Engineer to lead fire engineering strategies on a range of complex buildings across the UK. You will guide design teams, manage modelling inputs, and ensure quality while coordinating across disciplines.

You will own client relationships, lead meetings, and support business development while mentoring engineers and shaping technical standards in a growing fire engineering capability.

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering fire engineering strategies for complex buildings.
• Experience with modelling tools such as FDS, PyroSim, Pathfinder or similar.
• Confident communicator, able to present technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Experience working within a consultancy environment on multidisciplinary projects.
• Able to lead projects, manage client relationships, and provide technical direction.
• Experience mentoring engineers and supporting team development.
• Interested in contributing to business growth and work-winning activity.
• Degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working toward chartership with IFE or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Lead the delivery of fire engineering strategies across projects from concept through to construction and handover.
• Act as technical authority on projects—guiding design teams, overseeing modelling inputs, and ensuring quality across outputs.
• Manage client relationships, lead meetings, advise on strategy and support successful project outcomes.
• Contribute to business development, supporting bids and identifying opportunities to expand the service offering.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards and team development.
