Job summary

WSP is seeking a Fire Engineer to work across a range of projects from universities in Scotland to high-rise towers in London, contributing to safe architectural design and fire safety. You will review design information, coordinate with Facades, Acoustics and Structures, and present to authorities and the Fire Service.

The role includes a bespoke development programme, aiming toward chartered status with IFE and other professional bodies, with hybrid working and opportunities across UK offices.

Qualifications

• BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
• Role can be based from any of our UK major offices.

Responsibilities

• Run design information and liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures.
• Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
• Inform design team about changes to increase building safety.
• Engage in professional development towards chartered status.
