Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Technical Director to lead fire engineering projects from concept to delivery, across Scotland and London. You will run design information, liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures, and present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service to ensure safety and compliance.

The role offers a supportive path toward chartered status, exposure to international projects, and a hybrid working policy with two days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in the fire engineering consulting industry.
• This role can be based from any of our UK major offices.

Responsibilities

• Run through design information, liaising with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures.
• Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
• Help inform the design team about changes to increase building safety.
