Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Fire Engineer to work on diverse UK projects, from universities in Scotland to high‑rise towers in London. You will review design information, liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures, and present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service to improve building fire safety.

The role includes training and progression toward chartered status with IFE and other professional bodies, plus a supportive, social workplace with hybrid working and opportunities across

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Must have extensive experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
• This role can be based from any of our UK major offices.

Responsibilities

• Review design information and liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures.
• Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
• Advise the design team on changes to increase building fire safety.
