Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Fire Engineer to work across multiple UK projects, from universities in Scotland to high-rise towers in London, focusing on ensuring fire safety while enabling innovative architectural design.

You will liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures teams, present designs to authorities and Fire Service, and contribute to professional registration through IFE and related bodies. The role supports development via a bespoke programme.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in fire, structural, chemical or mechanical engineering.
• Extensive experience in fire engineering consulting.
• Ability to liaise with authorities and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-project engagements across UK offices.
• Liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures teams.
• Present designs to local authorities and Fire Service.
• Support design team with safety improvements and design changes.
