Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal Fire Engineer to lead multi-project fire safety design across UK offices. You will coordinate with Facades, Acoustics and Structures teams and present designs to authorities and the Fire Service.

The role offers a clear path toward chartered status via IFE and other bodies, with a structured development programme and hybrid working in a modern office environment.

Qualifications

• A BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Must have experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures teams.
• Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
• Inform the design team about changes to increase fire safety of buildings.
• Support professional registration processes with IFE or other bodies.
• Contribute to a bespoke development programme for technical growth.
