We’re looking for Fire Engineers to join our UK team and help deliver a growing portfolio of high-impact, meaningful projects.
Our work spans the iconic and the unconventional, from restoring Manchester’s Grade‑I listed Town Hall to transforming the British Museum in one of the world’s largest cultural renovations, we also led fire safety on WorkStack, the UK’s first mass timber light industrial building and a RIBA London Award winner.
At Arup, we go beyond compliance. We conduct cutting‑edge fire safety research, develop in‑house digital tools, and collaborate with academia and industry to tackle emerging hazards and improve safety equity, especially for the most vulnerable.

You will complement our fire safety team and help deliver fire safety engineering services for our clients. As part of a 400+ strong fire safety skills network across 20 offices, your role will involve interactive and collaborative working with fire safety colleagues and multidisciplinary teams at Arup.
We appreciate that everyone’s circumstances are different and it’s not always easy to commit to standard working hours. Work Unbound is our innovative hybrid approach to working and gives all our members greater flexibility in deciding how and where they work.
You’ll either be working towards Chartered Engineer status or have a real motivation to achieve this. If it’s the latter, we will support you with what you need to succeed here.
