Overview

Fire Alarm Engineer

Salary up to £38k (DOE)

Responsibilities

• Carry out safety system maintenance as per level 2 requirements.
• Attend phase 2 reactive callouts where customers have reported faults (secondary support when the lead engineer is already on site).
• Take part in the out-of-hours callout rota.
• Maintain and manage enhanced van stock to achieve high first-time fix rates.
• Ensure van stock is controlled in line with level 1 and 2 requirements.
• Conduct Risk Assessments and Method Statements, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards.
• Work closely with the Head of Compliance to ensure all tasks align with JLA's compliance framework

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems (or similar safety systems).
• Experience with the installation of Fire Alarm Systems.
• Strong understanding of safety systems.
• Knowledge of relevant British Standards.
• Ability to fault-find and resolve issues.
