This newly created role involves leading the budgeting process, delivering accurate performance analysis, and partnering with various departments to foster commercial growth. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong commercial acumen and proven leadership experience, particularly in food or FMCG environments, alongside robust financial modeling skills.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) required.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence at board level.
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, and team leadership needed.
  • Experience in food, FMCG, and/or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and develop multi-year strategic plans.
  • Deliver forecasting and performance analysis highlighting variances.
  • Produce comprehensive financial reports and presentations.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain for growth.
  • Build financial models for market expansion and investments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4.

Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Gloucestershire

£75,000 - £80,000

We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our growing, market-leading food manufacturing client. Well established and performing well, they have created this new role of FP&A Manager to act as the commercial guardian of the business, driving strategic decision-making and shaping their future success.

You’ll be the bridge between Finance and the wider business, working closely with directors and non-finance stakeholders and this will therefore suit candidates currently working in FP&A, Business Partnering and Commercial Finance positions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and develop multi-year strategic plans
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and performance analysis, highlighting variances and opportunities
  • Produce comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to drive commercial growth
  • Build and maintain financial models to support market expansion and capital investment decisions
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of 4
  • Act as the first point of contact for ERP and IT-related matters
Ideal candidate profile
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence at board level
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and team leadership
  • Ideally experience in food, FMCG and/or manufacturing environments
  • ERP systems knowledge (SAP Business One desirable)
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • A proactive communicator with the ability to deliver change and build strong relationships
