The Financial Crime (FC) function is a second line of defence (LOD) function that includes "Risk Stewards" who are independent of the commercial risk‑taking activities undertaken by the Group's businesses (also referred to as "the First LOD"). These Risk Stewards are responsible for reviewing and challenging the activities of the First LOD to ensure that, as "Risk Owners", they effectively manage the financial crime risk inherent in, or arising from, the conduct of their activities and for which they are responsible. Financial crime risk is a non-financial risk that includes fraud, money laundering, bribery and corruption, sanctions violations, terrorist financing, proliferation financing, export control violations and tax evasion. The Financial Crime function operates in accordance with HSBC Group's Risk Management Framework (RMF). We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior FC Manager to join the team on a 12-month secondment bases, as Senior FC Learning Manager.

Responsibilities
  • In coordination with the S&F Capabilities & Learning team & Group Learning, support the delivery of mandatory FC training.
  • Develop and review HRR training content as relevant including case studies and supporting materials to enhance skills and capability across the bank.
  • Oversee training feedback surveys (distribute, collate and report).
  • Oversee and review training materials, globally, where appropriate, to ensure they are up to date, relevant and consistent with the global programmes.
  • Act as the central point of contact for FC events which are carried out throughout the year, including, but not limited to bi annually FC On the Horizon events and quarterly FC Spotlights.
  • Support FC skills capability programme which is set out and reviewed annually.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve learner engagement and business relevance.
  • Review and maintain agreed book of work.
  • Design and maintain FC degreed learner pathways, developed through understanding of the FC function needs and learner gaps to ensure the content is relevant, engaging and impactful.
  • Responsible for quality and timely reporting to relevant FC and Learning Committees.
  • General administration, example activities may include collation and analysing data, input to and collation of status updates for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the Global FC Policy and supporting documents, including the financial crime framework and control lifecycle.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to render complex concepts into easy to understand and simple language.
  • Knowledge of HSBC's businesses, footprint, structure, compliance initiatives and bank strategy.
  • Excellent inter personal and influencing skills, including awareness of tone and the ability to tailor messaging to different (and senior) audiences and delivery channels.
  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

The base location for this role is London or Edinburgh - Hybrid working.
