What is the role and company?

A rapidly growing, PE-backed organisation is seeking a Finance Systems Director to lead its Finance Technology Centre of Excellence. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing a team of 10 specialists and driving the optimisation and transformation of finance systems across the business.

The company is currently a major user of Oracle NetSuite and is embarking on a migration to Workday Financials, offering a unique opportunity to lead a high-impact ERP transformation programme. The role combines technical expertise with strong finance knowledge and requires experience in service management for IT finance systems.

What will I be doing?

As Finance Systems Director, you will:

• Lead and manage a team of 10 within the Finance Systems Centre of Excellence
• Oversee the migration from Oracle NetSuite to Workday Financials, ensuring smooth transition and integration
• Define and implement best practices for finance systems governance and service management
• Manage interfaces between ERP and reporting tools, ensuring data integrity and seamless connectivity
• Collaborate with finance leadership to align systems strategy with business objectives
• Drive enhancements to reporting and EPM tools to support performance management
• Act as a key stakeholder in vendor relationships and manage external partners during implementation
• Provide technical and functional guidance to the team and wider business

What profile will I require?

Required:

• Proven experience in finance systems leadership roles within complex organisations
• Strong technical background combined with solid accounting/finance knowledge
• Hands‑on experience with ERP platforms, ideally Oracle NetSuite and Workday Financials
• Expertise in managing system interfaces and integrations during ERP migrations
• Knowledge of service management principles for IT finance systems
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams
• Based in London or Dublin with flexibility for hybrid working

Preferred:

• Experience in PE-backed or high‑growth businesses
• Familiarity with EPM tools and reporting solutions
• Project management experience in large‑scale finance transformation programmes
