A local charity is seeking a Finance Officer to support effective financial processing and ensure accurate financial records. This role requires AAT level 2 or equivalent experience and proficiency in Sage 50 and Excel. The candidate should be flexible, hardworking, and able to work within a team. About the Role

The Finance Officer will support the effective and efficient running of Age UK Plymouth’s finance function. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial processing, maintaining high-quality financial records and supporting budgeting and reporting cycles.

  • Work well within a team, be flexible, hard working, proactive and highly organised.
  • Experience of working in a busy, finance-based role is essential.
  • Be competent in the use of Sage 50 and Excel spreadsheets.
  • It is essential to have AAT level 2, working towards AAT level 2 or have equivalent experience.

Location

Age UK Plymouth – Multiple Sites (Mount Gould & The William and Patricia Venton Centre)

Hours

25 per week Monday to Friday

Rate of pay

£16,601 per annum – with a review in April 2026.
