Overview

Location: Kents Cavern Ltd, TQ1 2JF

Salary: £35k - £40k pro-rata

Contract: 20 Hours Per Week (with a possibility of increasing at a later stage)

Reports to: General Manager (with indirect reporting to Group Finance)

About The Role

We are looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations for Kents Cavern. From bookkeeping and revenue reconciliation to payroll, forecasting, and reporting, you will play a key role in keeping our business financially stable, compliant, and performing at its very best.

Working closely with the General Manager, department heads and group finance, you will ensure accuracy, compliance, and provide insights that drive success. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and commercially minded finance professional with a passion for the leisure and hospitality industry.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring suppliers and customers are managed efficiently.
  • Manage daily reconciliations of revenue, expenses, and bank statements.
  • With support from group, lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
  • Prepare daily cash flow forecasts and support planning for events and one-off activities.
  • Ensure timely payroll processing in collaboration with the GM and group finance.
  • Deliver accurate weekly and monthly financial reports.
  • Review and submit VAT returns and support statutory accounts preparation.
  • Provide financial insights that identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth.
About You
  • ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in a similar finance role (preferably within leisure & hospitality).
  • Skilled at balancing multiple priorities in a challenging environment.
  • Experience with accounting systems (Xero preferred) and HR/payroll systems (Harri preferred).
  • Confident working with PMS and POS systems and handling large datasets.
  • A proactive problem-solver with excellent attention to detail.
