About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing manufacturing business with an annual turnover of approximately £25 million, producing high-quality products for customers across a range of industries. As the company continues to expand its operations, we are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead our finance function and support strategic decision-making.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will take full ownership of day-to-day financial operations, management accounting, statutory compliance, and financial leadership within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management & Reporting
    • Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, KPIs, and board-level reporting.
    • Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cashflow projections.
    • Manage year-end processes, working with external auditors and tax advisors.
    • Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity.
  • Operational Finance
    • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the finance department, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, credit control, and bank reconciliation.
    • Manage working capital effectively, including cashflow monitoring, debtor management, and supplier payment planning.
    • Implement robust financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
  • Business Partnering & Strategic Support
    • Act as a key financial advisor to the business owners.
    • Provide commercial insight to support costing, pricing strategies, margin analysis, and capital investment decisions.
    • Support production planning, project costing, and customer profitability reviews.
    • Contribute to strategic planning and long-term financial modelling as the business continues to grow.
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Ensure clear objectives, training, and performance management are in place.
    • Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
