About the Role

Become a key member of the finance team. You will be focused on ensuring our numbers are managed, up to date and we are meeting our deadlines. This is a really varied role where you will get involved in all aspects of financial management for the business.

You will lead financial reporting, liaising with third parties, general reporting, cash management and the production of management accounts.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career. Your communication skills are as important as your financial ones, as you will be working closely with other teams across the business.

We believe in being proactive and taking ownership; this role will be vital to helping us shape the finance function and we welcome your ideas and problem‑solving abilities.

You will have two junior team members reporting into you, so some experience of supervising or managing is advantageous but not essential, as we can provide support to help you grow into this.

Success in Your First Year Looks Like
  • Confidently taking ownership and ensuring the financial data in the company is accurate, managed, reconciled and fully up to date.
  • Ensuring the finance team meets their monthly reporting deadlines.
  • Supporting our Finance Director, Financial Controller and building a good relationship across the business as well as our third‑party finance providers.
  • Confident in the production of management accounts and involved in other areas of reporting required to support the wider business.
  • Supervising junior team members to support their growth.
What You Will Do
  • Ensure the company's financial records are up to date and reconciled on our ERP and supporting systems.
  • Work with finance team to ensure all prepayments, accruals, journals and other accounting adjustments are accurately recorded and any timing differences are accounted for.
  • Lead production of management accounts.
  • Be involved in the cashflow and budgeting management for the business.
  • Help to train and develop junior team members, delegating tasks and coordinating to support in your day‑to‑day duties for the management of the Finance team.
  • Develop relationships and oversee the reporting process for third party relationships.
  • Work with other teams in the business representing finance on projects and to provide ad‑hoc reporting.
  • Coordinate with Financial Controller to ensure finance reporting targets are achieved on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in the end of year audit.
Essential Criteria
  • Have completed at least the second level of ACCA/ICAEW/CIMA, fully qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Currently working in a finance role either in industry or practice with at least 3 years' experience.
Advantageous Criteria
  • Experience of managing and supporting junior team members.
  • Knowledge of Netsuite or similar ERP system.

Your Team

You will be joining a friendly and supportive Finance team of 5 people and will be based in our Harlow office.

You will report into Kim, our Finance Director, and also be working closely across the business with the wider Greenbrook team of 60 people.

Your Environment

This is an office‑based role, located in Harlow, not far from the town centre with excellent access to shops, cafes and local amenities. We have an open‑plan environment that helps us collaborate and encourage new ideas.
