A property investment firm in London seeks a Finance Manager to manage financial records and prepare financial statements. Candidates should have experience in accounting, proficiency in Sage, and advanced Excel skills. NRG have been retained on a search for a stand‑alone Finance Manager position with a small and well‑established property investment firm based in Mayfair, London. With an extensive global property portfolio, this is an exciting time to join for an experienced candidate who can come in and hit the ground running.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely posting of journals up to the trial balance (TB).
Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets.
Manage accounts for several companies, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate cost reductions and optimize purchasing agreements.
Engage with banks to negotiate favourable interest rates on deposits and other banking services.
Utilise Excel skills to analyse financial data, generate reports.
Provide support in month‑end and year‑end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions.
Assist with KYC requirements by banks or other required parties.
Proven experience as an Accountant, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Proficiency in the Sage accounting system.
Experience in preparing financial statements and managing general ledger accounts.
Good negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and banks.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions, formulas, and data analysis.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
