Job description
The Opportunity:

To ensure a successful integration of Business Services for Ashurst and Perkins Coie, Ashurst has established an Integration Management Office (IMO) tasked with the following main objectives:

  • Facilitate integration design activities across Ashurst and Perkins Coie, both individually and collectively, including the shaping of recommendations.
  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day execution of the integration.
  • Ensure alignment with objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Track and report on progress of activities and identify, address or escalate risks and issues.

The Finance Integration Lead will work closely with Financial Integration Workstream Sponsors (who hold overall accountability for delivery) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The Lead will be responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination and execution of the Financial Integration Workstream.

Key objectives of the Financial Integration Workstream are to ensure we can:

  • Undertake joined up finance activities as a combination firm.
  • Design and operationalise the target-state Finance operating model.
  • Harmonise key finance processes and systems.
  • Manage and resolve integration risks.

This is a full-time, 24 month fixed term contract position operating out of Ashurst's London or Glasgow office with hybrid working.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrable post‑qualification experience in finance leadership roles with direct involvement in M&A integration or large‑scale finance transformation.
  • Demonstrable experience leading cross‑functional teams in complex, fast‑paced environments, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Expertise in designing target operating models, harmonising policies and embedding regulatory/statutory frameworks.
  • Demonstrable programme delivery experience, managing multiple parallel workstreams to target and within budget.
  • Prior experience working with senior executives, external auditors, advisors, regulators.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to convey complex financial and technical topics to executive and non‑technical audiences.
