Finance Controller – Heritage Portfolio Scotland (Sodexo Live!)

  • Location - Edinburgh Venues
  • Hybrid Working – 3 days office based

Sodexo Live!and Heritage Portfolio Scotland are looking for a commercially minded and operationally focused Finance Controller to deliver robust financial processes, accurate reporting, and strong support to venue operations across our Scottish portfolio.

The Role

You’ll oversee financial operations, produce monthly trading results, support forecasting, and ensure a strong control environment. Managing a team of three Commercial Assistants, you’ll also partner closely with venue teams to drive commercial accountability and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce monthly accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and weekly flash forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate processing of invoices, accruals, prepayments, and event billing.
  • Monitor labour costs and weekly rotas, highlighting risks.
  • Support stock counts, variance analysis, and ad‑hoc reporting.
  • Lead, develop, and support Commercial Assistants across multiple venues.
  • Contribute to budget setting, quarterly forecasting, and continuous improvement of month‑end processes.
  • Build strong relationships with operational teams across sites.
About You
  • Strong Excel and variance analysis skills.
  • Experience producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Stakeholder management skills across all levels.
  • SAP, EProphIT, or Priava experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of retail, cash environments, or contract catering a plus.
  • Part‑qualified ACCA/CIMA or QBE.
  • Happy to travel across Scottish venues (mainly Edinburgh).
