A leading UK university is seeking a Finance Business Partner for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support its Financial Strategy Business Partnering team. The ideal candidate will have a relevant financial qualification or equivalent experience, excel in stakeholder management, and contribute to budget management and change initiatives. This full-time role allows for part-time options as well, facilitating applications from diverse candidates.
An opportunity has become available for staff to join the Financial Strategy Business Partnering team, in the role of Finance Business Partner. The role will report to the Director of Finance Strategy and is a 12 month fixed term contract designed to backfill maternity cover.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with stakeholders of differing levels across a wide range of departments, steer effective budget management, contribute to making a difference to student experience and the wider university, utilise skills in modelling and evaluating financial scenarios, input into our equality and diversity offering and support in change management in delivering the university’s strategy.
As a trusted advisor and partner, you will be driven to question the status quo and explore new ideas to embed a culture of continuous improvement. You will have the ability to offer and accept feedback in a constructive manner and undertake your work with integrity.
Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 30 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours.
Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
