Job Overview

Finance Analyst RTR - Controlling
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Coventry (CV2 2TA)

DHL, an award‑winning, leading supply chain business is seeking a Finance Analyst RTR to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation. Our team of Finance specialists do so much more than crunch numbers. They add value to our business by truly understanding our data and helping our teams make informed, commercial decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform accounting processes in scope for a range of sites, customers or functions as directed (e.g. month end, reconciliations including Recs, Payroll Recs, Revenue Rec, etc., fixed assets accounting, etc.)
  • Regular engagement with site ops teams, the Reporting team, Finance Business Partners and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
  • Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making
  • Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope
  • Adhere to finance processes and produce accurate, timely reports
  • Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution and any escalations
  • Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
  • Support change programmes
  • Ensure all standard accounting processes on and off system are followed, identifying continuous improvement opportunities to the Reporting Manager
  • Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met
  • Ad‑hoc tasks as required, any other purchasing or operational admin related activities as required by the Controller or Manager
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements
  • 2–3 years of experience performing accounting in a logistics or similar industry preferred
  • Experience using Oracle Cloud preferred
  • Effective time management skills
  • Clear, effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
