Job summary

RES Limited is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for a field-based role covering the East England region. You will conduct site surveys, design heat pump systems, and prepare quotes for installers and homeowners, with full training and support.

Responsibilities include acting as Nominated Technical Supervisor for MCS projects and delivering remote technical support while traveling to installations across East London, Ipswich, and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing & Heating.
• LCL/BPEC Heat Pump Design & Installation accreditation.
• G3 Unvented Hot Water, WRAS and MCS standards knowledge.
• Proven experience in low-temperature hydraulic design and electrical fault-finding.
• Consultative mindset with ability to translate technical data for non-technical customers.
• Willing to travel and stay away overnight when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical site surveys and agree system specs with installers and homeowners.
• Produce room-by-room heat loss calculations, system designs and performance assessments.
• Act as Nominated Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects and oversee compliance.
• Provide phone-based and remote technical support and maintain relationships with installers.
