RES Limited is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to operate field-based across East England. You will conduct on-site surveys, agree system specifications with installers/homeowners, and produce quotations while commissioning Air Source Heat Pump systems.

You will also design room-by-room heat loss calculations, generate technical proposals, and support the sales team with accurate project records in the CRM. A strong consultative approach and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Plumbing & Heating: Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
• Heat Pumps: LCL/BPEC Heat Pump Design & Installation.
• Compliance: G3 Unvented Hot Water, WRAS, and MCS standards knowledge.
• Technical: Proven experience in low-temperature hydraulic design and electrical fault‑finding.
• Soft skills: A "consultative" mindset with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights for non‑technical customers.
• Logistics: Based in/around East London or Ipswich, with a willingness to travel and occasional overnight stays.

Responsabilités

• Conduct technical site surveys, agreeing system specifications with installers and homeowners, producing on-site quotations, commissioning Air Source Heat Pump systems, completing system handovers, and resolving technical issues through remedial visits.
• Produce room‑by‑room heat loss calculations, system designs and performance assessments using company design tools and established processes, with full training and technical support provided. Compile technical proposals and quotations for the sales team, ensuring accurate project records are maintained within the CRM system.
• Acting as the Nominated Technical Supervisor for all regional MCS projects, ensuring every subcontracted installation adheres to MCS standards and Building Regulations.
• Providing phone‑based and remote technical support, maintaining strong working relationships with assigned installers, and acting as a consistent technical point of contact.
