Job summary

RES Limited is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for a field-based role covering East England. You will survey sites, agree specifications with installers/homeowners, and commission Air Source Heat Pump systems, handing over to customers.

You will generate room-by-room heat loss calculations, designs, and performance assessments, compiling proposals for the sales team and logging details in the CRM. Travel to installations is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Plumbing & Heating: Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
• Heat Pumps: LCL/BPEC Heat Pump Design & Installation.
• Compliance: G3 Unvented Hot Water, WRAS, and knowledge of MCS standards.
• Technical: Low-temperature hydraulic design and electrical fault-finding.
• Soft Skills: Consultative mindset for translating data to non-technical customers.
• Logistics: Based in/around East London or Ipswich; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical site surveys, agree specifications with installers/homeowners, produce on-site quotations, commission Air Source Heat Pump systems and hand over to customers.
• Produce room-by-room heat loss calculations, designs and performance assessments using design tools; compile proposals and quotations; maintain CRM records.
• Act as Nominated Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects; ensure subcontracted work meets MCS standards and Building Regulations.
• Provide phone-based and remote technical support; maintain relationships with installers and act as technical contact.
