Job summary

RES Limited in the East of England is seeking a field-based Technical Sales Engineer to design and quote renewable heat pump projects. You will survey sites, agree system specs with installers and homeowners, and hand over projects with full documentation.

You will produce heat-loss calculations, room-by-room designs, and technical proposals using company tools, while providing on-site and remote support to installers. A consultative mindset and travel across UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing & Heating.
• Proven experience with heat pumps and MCS compliance.
• Strong knowledge of G3 unvented hot water and WRAS.
• Ability to translate technical data for non-technical customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical site surveys, agree system specs, and produce on-site quotations.
• Produce heat loss calculations and room-by-room designs using company tools; prepare proposals and quotations.
• Act as Nominated Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects and ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
• Provide phone-based and remote technical support, maintaining relationships with installers.
