Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Team Lead to oversee overnight installations for customers across the UK. You will lead a small team of Field Service Technicians, ensure installations meet plan and quality standards, and act as the primary customer contact on site.

The role includes travel to sites, coordinating tasks, and maintaining installation records. The position is a 6-month fixed-term contract, 30 hours per week, with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Proven field service or installation experience.
• Leadership of a small team under time pressure.
• Strong technical aptitude for hardware/software issues.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina to work up to 9 hours on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site, allocating tasks and ensuring installations run to plan and schedule.
• Install camera hardware: mount, connect and configure per company standards, and supervise the team.
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and briefings to identify potential issues before install.
• Serve as primary on-site customer contact, escalate and resolve issues to meet SLAs.
• Review and sign off on completed installations to ensure quality before handover.
• Maintain accurate records of installation activities across the team using company tools.
• Onboard/scan products into the system and attend night installations as required.
• Operate power tools safely and ensure the team does likewise.
