Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Team Lead to oversee installation activities across the UK, primarily on customer sites and during night hours. You will manage a small team of Field Service Technicians, coordinate tasks, ensure installations meet quality standards, and maintain accurate records for reporting and SLAs.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence, willingness to work nights/weekends, and a fixed-term contract of six months with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician Experience: Previous experience in a field technician role, preferably in field service, installation, construction, or a related field, including some experience leading or supervising others.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate a small team to deliver on shared goals under time pressure.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site, allocating tasks and ensuring installations run to plan and schedule.
• Installation of camera hardware: mount, connect and configure in accordance with company standards, and oversee the team doing the same.
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and briefings to identify and address potential issues before the installation begins.
