Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Team Lead for the UK on a 6-month fixed-term contract, working overnight at customer sites and on the road. The role oversees installation projects, leads a team of Field Service Technicians, and ensures on-time completion with quality and safety at the core.

You will install camera hardware, perform checks, coordinate tasks, and act as the primary on-site contact to meet SLAs while maintaining detailed installation records and training staff.

Qualifications

• Proven field service or installation experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a small team under time pressure.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware/software issues.
• Proficient with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina for long shifts (up to 9 hours).
• Excellent attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Effective time management and prioritization.
• Clear communication with customers and supervisors.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site.
• Install camera hardware and supervise the team.
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and briefings.
• Serve as primary customer on-site contact and resolve issues.
• Review installations and sign off before handover.
• Maintain records of activities, parts, and time.
• Onboard products into the system.
• Attend and lead night installations as required.
• Operate power tools safely and ensure team compliance.
• Enforce safety guidelines and mentor new staff.
• Meet or exceed KPI targets for speed and quality.
• Communicate progress updates to supervisors and clients.
