Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Team Lead to supervise installations across the UK. The role will involve overnight work, guiding a team of Field Service Technicians on site, and ensuring timely, quality deployments of our system.

The position requires a strong leader with hands-on installation experience, proficiency with power tools, and a valid UK driving licence. A 6-month fixed-term contract at 30 hours per week, with potential extension, is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven field service or installation experience, with supervisory exposure.
• Strong leadership and team coordination under time pressure.
• Good troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site, allocating tasks and ensuring installations run to plan and schedule.
• Install camera hardware, mount, connect and configure per company standards, and oversee the team.
• Perform pre-installation site checks and briefings to identify potential issues.
• Serve as primary on-site point of contact for customers and escalate issues to meet SLAs.
• Sign off on completed installations ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate installation records using company tools.
• Onboard/scanner product into the system and lead night installations as required.
• Operate power tools safely and ensure the team does the same.
• Enforce safety protocols and mentor new team members.
