Job summary

InPost UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the Network Health team. This hands-on role repairs parcel lockers on client sites, performs break-fix, maintenance, software configuration, and provides technical training to employees and subcontractors.

You will diagnose faults on on-site parcel lockers (APMs), upgrade hardware and software, manage tools, and maintain technical documentation. Travel across the UK and occasional international trips are required, with a company van provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in diagnosing and repairing equipment with software configuration and firmware updates.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to train others.
• Ability to manage tasks efficiently across multiple markets with quality and deadlines.
• High accuracy in quality control and documentation updates.
• Experience working with international subcontractors and internal staff.
• Willingness to travel for service and training in the UK and occasionally internationally.
• Familiarity with parcel locker or similar electromechanical systems and IT tools.
• Proficient use of hand tools and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing faults and malfunctions on site with minimal downtime.
• Maintaining and modernising parcel locker machines with hardware/software upgrades.
• Diagnostics, reconfiguration, and installation of software/firmware ensuring security.
• Processing and reporting on repairs using internal channels.
• Managing tools and components for parcel lockers.
• Handling systems for managing personnel-related matters.
• Quality control of work by staff and subcontractors to standards and guidelines.
• Providing technical support and training to employees and subcontractors, including international teams.
• Participating in developing solutions for new parcel locker types.
• Preparing and updating technical manuals and documentation.
