Job summary

SMT GB is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, diagnose and repair Volvo construction equipment across a regional area. You will work in the field, on customer sites, ensuring maximum machine uptime and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Applicants must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent and have proven experience with heavy construction plant, diesel engines and hydraulic systems. A UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering, or HGV Maintenance.
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction plant equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and engine faults.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs on Volvo construction equipment and related machinery.
• Identify and resolve faults using diagnostic equipment and expertise.
• Primary point of contact for customers, updating on status and actions.
• Complete all documentation, inspections, timesheets and electronic records in real time.
• Maintain high safety, professionalism and adherence to company policies.
