Job summary

A leading material handling company is seeking a Mobile Forklift Engineer in the UK. This role involves diagnosing faults, servicing, and repairing forklifts and machinery at customer sites. The position offers a competitive salary of £35,000–£39,000 (OTE £45,000+) with opportunities for overtime and excellent career progression. The ideal candidate will have experience in machinery repair, strong mechanical skills, and a valid UK driving license. A company van and benefits are included.

Qualifications

  • Experience in forklift or plant machinery repair.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge.
  • Familiarity with engines and batteries.
  • Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical faults on forklifts and plant equipment.
  • Perform servicing and emergency breakdown repairs.
  • Work independently and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Travel to various locations for repairs and maintenance.

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Salary: £35,000–£39,000 (OTE £45,000+) – Paid Door-to-Door
Hours: Mon–Fri, 08:00–17:00 + Overtime (1.5x)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
