Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Field Service Engineer specializing in forklifts to diagnose and repair machinery across various customer sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Plant or Forklift industries, with strong mechanical and electrical fault finding skills. A full UK driver's license is essential. Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Plant or Forklift industries required.
  • Must have experience with hydraulics, engines, and batteries.
  • Relevant mechanical/electrical qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on forklift machinery.
  • Collaborate with customers regarding lifting and plant handling.
  • Work independently on customer sites to provide solutions.

Job Role

Field Service Engineer – Forklifts

The Package
  • 24 days annual leave + public holidays (32 days overall)

Duties
  • Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on plant and forklift machinery.
  • Collaborate with customers surrounding the plant, lifting and handling products.
  • The ability to work independently within customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
  • Actively traveling to sites and carrying out repairs of the equipment and creating solutions.
  • Working on engines, batteries, pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in the Plant or Forklift industries (essential)
  • Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
  • Experience working with engines and batteries (essential)
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience
  • Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Full UK Drivers License
