Job summary

Roche Diagnostics in the UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to ensure maximum uptime of Roche’s Systems/Products across clinical diagnostics, covering molecular, tissue and serum work areas. The role includes on-site field work and remote diagnostics with opportunities for travel within the Kent region.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex electro‑mechanical faults, and generate reports to boost operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience at HNC/HND level.
• Extensive experience in the IVD industry with strong technical support background.
• Excellent analytical ability and high-level troubleshooting expertise.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a collaborative team environment.
• Customer-centric mindset with ability to build productive relationships.
• Willingness and capability to work within a 7-day support model across the region.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electro‑mechanical hardware support including proactive and reactive tasks and technical training.
• Troubleshoot faults, perform preventive maintenance, and generate reports to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical training to customers on Roche diagnostic systems.
• Maintain compliance through rigorous administration and regulatory documentation.
• Manage relationships with peers and stakeholders to align service and sales objectives.
• Participate in internal reviews to monitor progress and ensure service excellence.
