Job summary

Franke Coffee Systems is seeking a Service Engineer based in Birmingham to provide technical support and resolve customer issues, ensuring reliable service and timely handling of reliability concerns. The role involves on-site work, stock management, and active collaboration with the Regional Team Leader.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in the coffee machine or vending industry, strong communication skills, and familiarity with laptops and mobile phones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in the coffee machine or vending industry.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience.
• Competent using phones and laptop; good ICT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Franke UK Technical Standards and Processes are adhered to.
• On Call weekend rota for Engineer Technical Assistance and reactive calls (1 every 6 weekends).
• Highlight technical skills gaps and customer skills gaps.
• Manage stock levels.
• Maintain customer relations at site level.
• Keep up to date with company admin and courses.
• Coordinate with Account Support when issues arise.
• Demonstrate understanding and experience in the Field Engineer remit.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as needed.

We're looking for a Service Engineer based in Birmingham. The Service Engineer role holds the responsibility for the technical support of our customers and resolution of ongoing issues when required. You will deliver a quality and reliable service to our customers and colleagues ensuring that reliability issues are dealt in a timely manner, and any issues with van stock or training needs will be reported back to the Regional Team Leader.Your tasks

• Ensure agreed Franke UK Technical Standards and Processes are adhered to
• On Call weekend rota for Engineer Technical Assistance and reactive calls (1 every 6 weekends)

• Highlight customer skills gap.
• Managing stock levels
• Managing customer relations at a site level
• Keeping up to date with all company admin and courses
• Highlight issues where Account Support is required due to ongoing Customer Issues
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding and experience in remit of the Field Engineers role
• Minimum 2 years experience working in the coffee machine or vending industry
• Competent using phones and laptop
• Excellent communications skills.
• Personal integrity.
• Analysing and prioritising.
• Understand when to inform and when to elevate issues.
• Any other ad hoc duties and responsibilities that arise on a day to day basis or over a period of time that falls in the remit of the role.
