Field Service Engineer – Birmingham

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 + Overtime (£55K OTE) + Door to Door Pay + OEM Training + Van + Specialist Tools + Laptop + Phone

A great opportunity to develop expertise in a technically rewarding role working as a field service engineer in a company that values staff. Specialist OEM training is offered to become an expert. You will work in a collaborative team where your hard efforts are recognised while you upskill.

Due to expansion, the client is seeking field service engineers who want to develop their skills. They will ensure you are well equipped to do the best job possible while ensuring you are highly knowledgeable of products through manufacturer training. Engineers who are looking to develop in a busy environment will thrive in this position.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnostics, service and repair of diesel engines and transmission systems across a range of equipment
  • Reassembly of engines, transmissions, axles, and transfer cases to OEM specifications
  • Calibration of tools and equipment
  • Coverage of the Central and West Midlands region
Experience & Qualifications
  • Field service engineers or technicians from a commercial automotive background (HGV, LGV master technicians, plant, materials handling, or similar)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostics skills
  • Experience working with diesel engines/transmissions
  • Good knowledge of diagnostic tooling and equipment
