Job summary

ARX Robotics in the UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain and deploy autonomous robotic systems for UK military partners. You will be the on‑the‑ground expert ensuring platforms are operational and perform at peak, while working closely with our engineering teams in Germany.

The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and communications, delivering hands‑on training, handling high‑voltage batteries, and traveling across the UK (and occasional trips to Germany) to support

Qualifications

• Hands-on background in mechatronics, electronics or robotics.
• Troubleshooting across hardware, software and networks.
• Experience in field service or engineering with customers.
• Familiar with CAN/Ethernet and embedded systems or scripting (Linux, Python).
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Self-starter who can operate in challenging field environments.
• Willingness to travel UK-wide and to Germany as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and ensure peak performance of autonomous robotic systems at UK sites.
• Serve as the direct link to UK military partners and maintain trusted relations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software and communication issues.
• Integrate new hardware payloads, sensors and communication systems.
• Provide hands-on technical training to users and partners.
• Manage high-voltage battery systems for safety and readiness.
• Feedback insights to engineering teams in Germany to improve platforms.
• Create and maintain service reports and technical documentation.
