Job summary

ARX Robotics is looking for a versatile engineer to support and improve their autonomous ground systems. You will handle firmware updates, debugging, and service work across software and hardware, while providing user training and documentation.

You will collaborate with hardware, ops, and engineering teams to implement field feedback into product improvements. The role emphasizes independent task ownership, strong Linux, Python, and C++ skills, and the ability to communicate clearly in English,

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software development, embedded systems, tech support or systems integration.
• Strong Linux skills including CLI, processes, services, logs, networking and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting for automation and diagnostics.
• Experience writing, debugging, and maintaining C++ code and contributing to codebases.
• Solid hardware-software understanding and data exchange protocols between devices.
• Independent ownership of tasks from analysis through completion with a systematic approach.
• Proactive with technical judgement and ability to propose improvements to services and tech.
• Intermediate English or higher; clear professional communication.
• Clear, structured communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Keep deployed systems reliable through firmware flashing, configuration, and software-related service work.
• Investigate and resolve complex service issues onsite and remotely.
• Provide technical support and own user issues through successful resolution.
• Deliver practical technical training that helps users operate our systems confidently.
• Develop new functionality and contribute bug fixes and software optimizations.
• Improve existing services, workflows and technical solutions.
• Create and maintain clear technical and user documentation.
• Work with Hardware, Customer Operations and engineering to turn field feedback into product improvements.
